I made these suckers yesterday while a can of crescent rolls sitting in the fridge were staring at me about to expire. I've always been amorous of all the lovely recipes containing nutella in them. Most of them are absolutely gorgeous too. So while I was looking at these lowly crescent rolls, why not add some nutella to them and make a dessert? Pure success!
If you are looking for more ways to use nutella, I highly suggest you check out Bell'alimento. Queen of Italian food, Lover of Nutella. And make sure to keep a look out for her new site Bellanutella coming soon. <3 Paula.
Nutella Crescents
1 8 oz can of crescent rolls
1 Jar of Nutella
3 Tbsp Powdered Sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Roll the crescents out into their little triangles. Place about a teaspoon of nutella towards the large end of the triangle.
Lick your spoon, dip your finger in, enjoy the hazelnut and chocolate awesomeness.
Roll the crescent up like you would normally, pinching the edges together so the chocolate doesn't ooze out and create a big ol' mess while baking.
Place on a baking sheet and continue with the rest. Bake for 11-13 minutes.
When cooled, remove to a plate and dust with powdered sugar.
Now enjoy!

Love your new blog layout! The colors and header are so cute. I wish I could figure out how to make mine this user friendly too! And these crescents are the perfect after school snack. Keep up the good work Cassandra!
I did a simular thing http://deedeesdelights.blogspot.com/2011/01/raspberry-pain-au-chocolat-raspberry.html only I had raspberry with the nutella and used a puff pastry dough
Rhondi, Thank you for such a sweet comment. It's taken a lot of work the last couple of days. I came across this blog http://jenieshell.blogspot.com/, she has some tutorials on making buttons and headers and such.
Dee Dee, yours look amazing. I'll have to look for some puff pastry, I see it used a lot but don't recall seeing it in our store.
What a great recipe and so easy to do. If I ever have a craving for a chocolate croissant, I'll definitely remember this one. I have a linky party on my blog every week called "Sweets for a Saturday" and I'd like to invite you to stop by this weekend and link your recipe up.
What a perfectly delicious way to use up your crescents!
I came over from Sweets for a Saturday, and these look absolutely luciously delicious and perfect for a decadent weekend breakfast. Yum.
