Swirled Dill Rolls

I love bread.  Bread in all shapes and sizes.  Rolls, biscuits, yeast breads, quick breads, cinnamon rolls, pastries, you name it. But I don't have that many recipes in my possession. So I have been on a quest to increase my arsenal of bread recipes, while also looking for some that I can make on the fly for dinner when I don't have the time to plan something out.  Something that I can whip together in a minutes time is a god send in my house.  And these did just the trick.  While I normally steer clear of processed foods for the fact that it ends up costing more money since I usually have most ingredients on hand and I find fun in trying to create store bought items from scratch.  However some times you just have to give in and buy some premade items to save your sanity.

These little babies are so yummy and delicious and some of the easiest dinner rolls you'll ever make because they use.....store bought crescent rolls.  A great way to jazz up boring crescents with only 4 ingredients.  I came across this recipe in the 2010 Irish issue from Taste of Home Holiday.  Buttery goodness with a slight taste of dill.

1 Tube (8 oz) Crescent Rolls
2 Tbsp Butter or Margarine, Softened
1/4 tsp Onion Powder
1/4 tsp Dill Weed

Do Not unroll the crescent rolls.  Instead cut them into 1 inch pieces, about 8 slices, like you would cinnamon rolls.  Place cut side down on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes.  Meanwhile in a small bowl combine butter/margarine, onion powder, and dill weed.  When the rolls are done, while they are still hot, spread the butter mixture over the top.

Just made these for the first time, and they are oh so good. This will make its way to table at least 3 times a month if not more.
